This mark is used for deformation monitoring, do not alter the ground mark in any way. 0.05m diameter brass pin flush with concrete base - 0.04m above GL. 1.16m concrete pillar established over top of base. Buried mark is 0.25 inch diameter brass plug in bluestone 2.5 ft below GL. For intermediate blocks on Matamata Base see SAk 3/146. Shining a torch through the drainage hole at the base of the pillar may help illum
