This mark is used for deformation monitoring, do not alter the ground mark in any way. 25 mm stainless steel pin in 0.05 m dia iron pipe in concrete block 0.28 x 0.28 m, 0.03 m above ground level. Mark lowered 0.396 m in 1980. Wrongly called Matanganui in records before 1966.
